The Reeves Law Group is a large and well-known law firm of personal injury lawyers. We have won top results for thousands of accident victims in injury and death cases, while earning a reputation for professionalism and competence.

When Metrolink spokesperson Denise Tyrrell stood before cameras a few hours after the worst commuter train crash in recent California history, and admitted tearfully that one of their engineers had been at fault, you could have forgiven Metrolink officials’ their panic, and Metrolink accident attorneys their glee. After all, it was clear right at the beginning of the train crash that there was a dreadful human or technical error to blame for two trains being on the same track, and with the number of deaths and injuries steadily rising, Metrolink was bound to have become nervous in the face of such open admission of responsibility.

Tyrrell paid for her honesty – she resigned soon after she made that bold admission of guilt, and has since then, insisted that she does not regret admitting liability in the Metrolink train accident.  In fact, Tyrrell claimed that she had discussed the need to make a statement that would “rebuild public trust” in the company with her bosses.  Whether her bosses knew that she was about to drop the liability bombshell is not known. We find it difficult to believe that they would be okay with her going out in front of the cameras, and placing responsibility and liability for the accident at Metrolink’s door step.

The thing that has stood out about Tyrrell’s actions has been her honesty. In a system where everybody, from the President of the country to the guy who brings in the coffee often refuses to take any responsibility for their actions, to see some one throw caution to the wind and be upfront and honest with the public, was so rare, most Metrolink train accident attorneys weren’t even sure they had heard her right.  After all, in an accident of this magnitude, we have so often seen rail officials point fingers at everybody but themselves.  Tyrrell’s refreshing candor has definitely made it easier for Metrolink train accident attorneys.
